Roman Steindl was born in Austria in 1964. He is married and father of two children. In 1990 he graduated with a Master’s in Technical Chemistry from the Technical University in Vienna.

From 1990 to 1997 he was Research and Development Manager in the AGRANA company and developed numerous new starch derivatives, mainly used in the construction material industry.

From 1997 he had significant input in the creation of a new area of business in the company Krems Chemie AG. He managed several projects dealing with new products, some of which were patented.

In 2001 he founded the company New Starch, an independent lab and consulting company for renewable raw materials.

Together with Martin Zeller, he founded the company ndd - „new design product development“ in 2002, holding the position of Technical Director.

In both companies, Roman Steindl has gained special competence through continuous and consistent work, thus leading to the development of new products of outstanding market potential.
