Martin Zeller was born in Austria in 1965; he was widowed and is father of two children.

In 1987 he obtained his master craftman’s diploma as a carpenter. He bought a carpenter’s workshop employing a staff of 12 in 1992. He immediately started re-structuring his workshop, converting it into a company for furniture design and development.

Martin Zeller has been awarded various prizes for innovation. In 1994 he received the Danhauser Design Award (Danhauser Designpreis). In 1998 he was awarded the First Trade and Commerce Prize of Lower Austria (1. NÖ Gewerbe- und Handwerkspreis).

In 2001 the entire production was sourced out and the workshop was converted into exhibition space

In 2002 he founded the company ndd - „new design product development“, together with Roman Steindl. In the position of Art Director, Martin Zeller has created outstanding designs, particularly in the area of glass design.
